How to View Purchase Requisition in SAP
SAP Purchase Requisition is an internal document that starts the procurement process and indicates a need for a material or service. The creation of a purchase requisition can be done manually by the requester or automatically generated from system requirements like Material Requirements Planning (MRP). It includes details such as the item to be procured, desired delivery date, and quantity needed.
To manage purchase requisitions in SAP, you can utilize various transactions to create, modify, and view them. These transactions allow you to perform specific actions on individual purchase requisitions as needed.
In certain situations, you may need to access a list of SAP purchase requisitions related to a specific material or cost center. Similarly, there might be instances where you want to find purchase orders associated with a particular purchase requisition. There are various scenarios that require viewing SAP purchase requisitions, and this can be done by extracting the necessary information using an SAP purchase requisition report.

If multiple variants have been created by a user for this transaction, all of them will be displayed and the user can choose which one to use based on their needs.
2. Dynamic Selection Icon
Once you select the dynamic selection icon, a supplementary input screen will be displayed as depicted below.
ME5A Input Selection Screen with Dynamic Selection allows users to input specific criteria for selecting purchase requisitions in SAP. This feature enables users to customize their search by dynamically selecting relevant parameters, making it easier to find the desired PRs within the system.

Once the execute icon is selected and all the necessary input values are provided, SAP will present us with the output screen.
The output screen of the SAP Purchase Requisition Report displays the results or outcomes of the report. It provides information related to purchase requisitions in a clear and organized manner. The report output screen is designed to present data effectively, making it easy for users to analyze and interpret the information.
This output screen would contain many icons. These icons would come under SAP navigation topic. In this tutorial, those icons which are most required in the output screen would be discussed. The icon with Excel highlighted in the above picture can help us to extract the report output to a spreadsheet format and the same could be saved on the local machine at a required location.
The other icons that are marked stand out to us as they give us the ability to change the appearance of the report. The layout feature enables us to specify how we want SAP to present the report results. SAP provides predefined layouts that include all column values by default. However, if we need a personalized layout for our report, we can create and save a new one.
Printing a PR in SAP: A Step-by-Step Guide
To begin, you can create a personalized smart form by defining its fundamental components. This involves determining the layout and structure of the form, such as headers, footers, tables, and fields. By customizing these elements to suit your specific needs, you can ensure that the smart form aligns with your desired format.
In addition to creating a custom smart form and its associated print program, consider developing a dedicated program along with a transaction code specifically for calling and printing this particular purchase requisition (PR) smart form. This allows users to easily access and initiate printing of PR documents whenever necessary through an intuitive interface or transaction code.
For example: You could create a custom transaction code “ZPRINT_PR” which triggers both your customized program for fetching PR details from backend systems as well as calling/triggering/printing of PR Smart Form in one go when executed by users via SAP Easy Access menu or command field (transaction bar). Users would simply need to enter relevant parameters like PR number or date range before executing this transaction code.
